You’re quite right that by joining the SDR China has become more intertwined with the rest of the world’s financial economic system. Since opening up in the late 1970’s China has become more and more a strong partner for the rest of the world economy. Now China’s position will become more and more powerful and eventually will overtake the number 1 spot from the US China wants to be in the front seat when discussions about the future of the monetary system are being discussed. All countries now have a joint wish to stimulate the world economy by building infrastructure and a broader consumer base.
