I don’t think it will be beneficial to Chinese people going abroad. It is China’s wish that the SDRs will be used as a ‘umbrella-like-world-currency’. So the dollar, euro, pound and yen will all stay around for normal transactions, when travelling to foreign countries. But since the internationalization of the renminbi will make it a more dominant currency, it will be more in demand, so the value could well rise over the next few years. That means costs in other countries might be lower for Chinese travellers
