When you are not inspired by writing, will you be waiting for one or two months or longer to wait for it to appear?

Waiting is my least favourite part of being an author – and there is lots of it to endure! After I have written the first draft of a new work, I have to wait while my agent looks at it and gives me his feedback, then wait again when I have edited it and handed it to the publisher. Then, once the final edit is done I have to wait AGAIN for the book to be printed. Then comes the worst wait of all… the wait to see if readers like it!
Often it can be over a year from writing the first draft to seeing a book in print. It is difficult to wait such a long time, but usually I am already working on the next story so there is always plenty to do.
