近年来,科学家们发现细胞内呈现出大量以液滴形式存在的无膜细胞器(membraneless organelles),这些无膜细胞器通过生物分子的液–液相分离(liquid–liquid phase separation,LLPS)形成,它们能够响应胞外信号,从而调控细胞可塑性。无膜细胞器不仅可以作为信号级联放大反应的组织中心,还可以作为信号催化过程的纳米反应器。无膜细胞器的组装被细胞内环境严格调控,若调控紊乱,将导致蛋白质错误折叠和凝集,扰乱细胞可塑性并引发疾病。为推动这一领域的发展,探究更多细胞生物学的未解之谜,本期专辑将为您解读无膜细胞器动力学的分子机制、以及它与细胞可塑性之间的调控关系。
