这是最好的时代，大数据和人工智能正在成为现实。这也是最坏的时代，在实际操作中，我们会对数据分析感到困惑甚至不知所措。大数据和人工智能不仅仅是来去匆匆的花哨术语。对成功创造价值的商业数据分析来说，最重要的不是大数据或复杂的模型，而是商业问题本身。如何准确识别最适合数据价值创造的商业问题？又应该如何有效地将商业问题转化为具体的数据分析问题？

This is the best of times, when big data and AI are becoming reality. This is also the worst of times, when we are confused and even lost about what to do about business data analysis in actual practice. Big data and AI is not simply about fancy terminology which comes and goes. For successful business data analysis to create value, the most important part is not big data or having sophisticated models, but the business problem itself. How can you correctly identify the business problems most suitable for data value creation? And how can you transform a business problem effectively into a concrete data analytical problem？

届时，王汉生教授将会分享如何解决商业分析遇到的问题，着重于对不确定性的理解以及如何应用强大的回归分析工具。他也会分享自己在业界实践和研究中获得的大量案例。

During the event, Prof. Wang will share how to address the issues surrounding business analysis, focusing on understanding uncertainty and applying a powerful analytical tool called REGRESSION ANALYTICAL THINKING (RAT). His class will be supported by numerous case studies acquired from his involvement and research in the industry.

王汉生教授

Professor Hansheng WANG

北京大学光华管理学院商务统计与经济计量系教授。数据科学微信公众号“狗熊会”创始人。在理论研究方面，主要关注变量选择、数据降维、高维数据分析，以及复杂网络数据分析。国内外各种专业杂志上发表文章100+篇，合著有英文专著1本，合著中文教材3本。国家杰出青年基金获得者（2016），Elsevier中国高被引用学者（数学类：2014-2018）。致力于商务统计学的理论研究与产业实践。业界合作涉及量化投资、互联网征信、车联网、移动设备RTB广告竞价、搜索引擎营销、电子商务、重装制造业等多个重要行业。

Professor Hansheng WANG is from the department of Business Statistics and Econometrics at Guanghua School of Management, Peking university. He is the founder of a data science WeChat public account “CluBear”. His research interest focuses on Regression Shrinkage and Selection, Sufficient Dimension Reduction, Ultra-high Dimensional Data Analysis, as well as Nonparametric and Semi-parametric Models. He has published more than 100 papers so far, in addition to a monograph and 3 textbooks. He is also the winner of the National Outstanding Youth Fund (2016), Elsevier China Highly Cited Scholar (Mathematics: 2014-2018). Professor Hansheng WANG is committed to the theoretical research and industry practice of business statistics, researching Quantitative Investment, Internet Credit Investigation, Internet of Vehicles, Mobile Device RTB Advertising Bidding, Search Engine Marketing, E-commerce, Retooling Manufacturing and other important industries.
