IMF：中国，上调！

国际货币基金组织（IMF）16日发布《世界经济展望报告》更新内容，将今年中国经济增长预期上调至5%，相较上一次，也就是今年4月时的预测上调了0.4个百分点。报告指出，今年以来，中国国内消费的复苏推动了经济增长，外贸出口的积极态势也给经济增长带来更多活力，以中国等为代表的亚洲新兴经济体仍是全球经济增长的主要引擎。

今年以来，亚洲地区出口增长，特别是这一地区在技术领域的强劲表现，为贸易增长提供了动力。根据IMF最新预计，2024年全球经济增长预期维持3.2%不变，2024年和2025年全球贸易量将分别增长3.1%和3.4%，增速均比4月份的预测提升0.1个百分点。

报告还上调了今年新兴市场和发展中经济体的经济增速至4.3%。不过，发达经济体中，美国和日本经济下行压力最为明显，其中美国今年的经济增速被下调至2.6%，反映出其经济增速慢于预期以及国内消费放缓的现状。另外，报告还预计今年全球平均通胀率为5.9%，2025年将降至4.4%。IMF警告称，许多主要经济体的通胀降温速度低于预期，这意味着利率可能在更长时间维持高位，从而对全球经济增长构成风险。

力拓宣布西芒杜投资条件现已满足

Rio Tinto Announced Conditions on Simandou Investment Now Satisfied

力拓近日宣布，公司投资开发几内亚西芒杜高品位铁矿石的所有条件现均已满足，包括完成几内亚及中国监管机构的必要审批。

Rio Tinto recently announced that all conditions have now been satisfied for it’s investment to develop the Simandou high-grade iron ore deposit in Guinea, including the completion of necessary Guinean and Chinese regulatory approvals.

Simfer董事会最近批准Simfer公司投资与西芒杜赢联盟、中国宝武和几内亚共和国共同开发的铁路和港口基础设施，并按股比份额出资。

Along with the recent approval by the Board of Simfer, this allows Simfer to invest in and fund its share of co-developed rail and port infrastructure being progressed in partnership with Winning Consortium Simandou (WCS), Baowu and the Republic of Guinea.

这条全新的跨几内亚多用途铁路全长超过 600 公里，将与港口基础设施一起共同支持Simfer和赢联盟从几内亚东南部西芒杜各自的特许采矿区出口铁矿石，年出口量可高达1.2亿吨 ，并将成为非洲最大的绿地综合矿山和基础设施投资项目。

More than 600 kilometres of new multi-use trans-Guinean railway together with port facilities will allow the export of up to 120 million tonnes per year of mined iron ore by Simfer and WCS from their respective Simandou mining concessions in the southeast of the country3. Together, this will be the largest greenfield integrated mine and infrastructure investment in Africa.

Amazon’s Deal with AI Startup Adept Faces FTC Scrutiny

据外媒报道，美国联邦贸易委员会(FTC)已对亚马逊最近宣布的与人工智能初创公司Adept的交易展开了非正式调查。

According to foreign media reports, the Federal Trade Commission has launched an informal inquiry into Amazon’s recently announced deal with AI startup Adept.

今年6月，亚马逊聘请了Adept的联合创始人兼首席执行官David Luan和“其他一些非常有才华的团队成员”加入其人工通用智能部门的团队。

In June, Amazon hired Adept co-founder and CEO David Luan and “a few other deeply talented team members” to its team working on artificial general intelligence unit.

协议还同意授权Adept的技术、多模态模型和一些数据集。

It also agreed to license Adept’s technology, multimodal models and some datasets.

此举正值美国和海外监管机构越来越多地审查科技公司的投资以及与人工智能初创公司的合作关系之际。

The move comes as regulators in the U.S. and abroad are increasingly scrutinizing tech companies’ investments and partnerships with AI startups.

有美国立法者指出，亚马逊与Adept的交易是科技公司为避免反垄断审查而授权技术或进行“收购”的一个例子。

U.S. lawmakers have pointed to Amazon’s deal with Adept as an example of tech companies licensing technology or making “acquihires” in order to avoid antitrust scrutiny.
