收购孟山都成官司“接盘侠” 拜耳百亿美元寻求和解

近两年，德国拜耳公司一直因为旗下产品农达除草剂而深陷诉讼漩涡。拜耳面临着总计125000件索赔申请，原告们指控农达除草剂导致他们患癌。

如今，拜耳终于能解决大部分诉讼了，不过付出的代价也十分高昂。拜耳周三宣布，为了了结绝大多数关于农达除草剂致癌的诉讼，公司将支付总计101-109亿美元，与75%的索赔达成和解。

拜耳面临这些诉讼，也是因为自己主动当了官司“接盘侠”。农达除草剂本来是美国孟山都公司的产品。两年前，拜耳以600多亿美元收购孟山都，并接手了这些诉讼。单单是在美国，诉讼就达到52500桩。拜耳收购孟山都的交易发起之初，就遭到了不少拜耳股东的反对，不知拜耳管理层如今是否感到后悔？

达美航空6月25日恢复中美航线

Delta To Resume US-China Flights On June 25

达美航空公司宣布，将于6月25日恢复西雅图-上海浦东航线，该航线经停首尔仁川机场，每周运营两班。

Delta Air Lines announced it will re-start its services between Seattle and Shanghai-Pudong via Seoul-Incheon on June 25, operating twice per week.

其后7月起，达美航空将运营西雅图-上海浦东、底特律-上海浦东航线，该航线同样经停仁川机场，每周运营一班。

From July and beyond, it will operate once weekly flights from Seattle and Detroit, also via Incheon.

自今年2月由于新冠疫情原因暂时停飞中美航线后，达美航空是第一家恢复中美航线的美国航企。

Delta is the first U.S. airline to re-connect the U.S. and China since the temporary suspension in February due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

上海浦东-西雅图航线将由达美航空最新的旗舰客机空客A350执飞，为乘客提供清洁安全的出行服务。

The Shanghai Pudong-Seattle flights will be served with Delta’s latest flagship A350 aircraft, bringing clean and safe services to customers.

Moreover, Delta is constantly updating best practices and improving the new standard of care based on expert medical advice and the feedback of customers.

Amazon Establishes Counterfeit Crimes Unit

亚马逊6月24日宣布成立全球打假团队，这是一个新的部门，专门负责打击违反法律法规和亚马逊商城规则、在亚马逊上销售假冒商品的售假者，并将其诉诸法律。

Amazon announced on June 24 it has established a new Counterfeit Crimes Unit, dedicated to bringing counterfeiters that violate the law and Amazon’s policies by listing counterfeit products in its store to justice.

这支全球性的跨职能团队由前美国联邦检察官、资深调查人员和数据分析师组成。

Amazon’s Counterfeit Crimes Unit is a global, multi-disciplinary team composed of former federal prosecutors, experienced investigators, and data analysts.

亚马逊的首要目标是阻止假冒商品在亚马逊商城中上架。目前亚马逊在打击假货方面全面积极的举措已经能够确保消费者浏览的99.9%的商品未出现有效的假冒商品投诉。

Amazon’s Counterfeit Crimes Unit will investigate cases where a bad actor has attempted to evade Amazon’s systems and listed a counterfeit in violation of Amazon’s policies.

The Counterfeit Crimes Unit will mine Amazon’s data, cull information from external resources such as payment service providers and open source intelligence, and leverage on-the-ground assets to connect the dots between targets.

2019年，亚马逊在全球投入超过5亿美元用于打击包括售假在内的欺诈行为，同时逾8,000名员工参与到此项工作中。

In 2019, Amazon invested over $500 million and had more than 8,000 employees fighting fraud, including counterfeit.

阿布扎比文化景区6月24日重新开放

Abu Dhabi's Cultural Reoped On June 24

阿联酋首都阿布扎比，阿布扎比文化与旅游部宣布，从6月24日起，阿布扎比一些博物馆和文化景区准备重新开放，迎接游客的到来。

The Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi) announced that selected number of museums and cultural sites in the emirate are ready to welcoming visitors starting June 24th.

首批向公众开放的景点包括阿布扎比卢浮宫、豪森宫殿、文化基金会展览馆和艺术家驻馆工作室。

The first sites that will be reopened to the public include Louvre Abu Dhabi, Qasr Al Hosn, and the Cultural Foundation’s exhibition and Artists in Residence studio.

重新开放的还有艾恩绿洲户外区域、穆瓦基宫殿、扎哈里古堡和艾恩皇宫博物院。

Also reopening will be Al Ain Oasis outdoor areas, Qasr Al Muwaiji, Al Jahili Fort and Al Ain Palace Museum.

DCT Abu Dhabi has issued strict health and safety guidelines and precautionary measures in preparation for the reopening of a number of museums and cultural sites in the emirate.

Mercedes-Benz Partners With Nvidia On Upgradable Vehicles

据外媒报道，梅赛德斯-奔驰和英伟达正在合作开发下一代车载计算系统，该系统将有助于远程或空中软件更新和自动驾驶。

Mercedes-Benz and Nvidia are partnering to develop the next-generation of the automaker’s in-vehicle computing systems that will assist with remote, or over-the-air, updates and automated driving capabilities.

The companies announced the cooperation recently with promises of developing “the most sophisticated and advanced computing architecture ever deployed in an automobile.”

Mercedes-Benz will begin to deploy the new architecture across its fleet in 2024, according to the companies.

It will use Nvidia’s “Drive” platform, enabling features such as the vehicle’s driver-assist systems to be upgradable.
